Francesco Milizia

Lived in oria till he was 9 years old, when he was sent to padova to his uncle to study ‘’le belle lettere’’. After 7 years he ran away from Padova and started travelling around from Bobbio to Milan, from Rome to Naples, he tried to go to France too but couldn’t finish his trip because of lacks of funds so he returned to Oria. Went to gallipole and married Teresa Muzio. In 1761 he moved to Rome. Its here that he started to get thrilled about architectcure and started to create those works that made him the loved/hated genius. He was the first to create the the “ metafisica dell architettura’’ published ‘’ I principi dell architetuttra civile’’ ‘’Roma nelle belle arti di disegno’’ ‘’ la vita dei piu illustri architetti’’ ‘’il dizionario delle belle arti’’ “ristretto della matematice di lacsille’’ “compendio della astronomia di bailly’’ and other works of natural history public economy and various tranlsations. He was also headteacher of the newclassicismo and was the director of arts in Rome.
