Bishop’s palace

The palace was built over the ancient acropolis Messapic, we have some testimony that says that here was present a mosaic with a lion that had a snake in his mouth, today the castle is next to the basil witch they are connected thanks to a intern passage. Today’s palace was built by orian Gian Carlo Bovio at 1564 1574, inside we can find pieces from the old messapica acropolis and the ancient cathedral. Of great importance are some columns marmoree, one from eta classica wich it represent a knight on his horse, 2 lions. We cal also find some painitng from Pellegrino Tibalto of Raphael school.
