St. Francis of Paola Church

The Church of San Francesco di Paola was built in 1580 together with the adjoining convent. The present church is spread over the San Barsanofio crypt. This church is still very important today: here the new bishops wear the garments before you enter the city; In fact, the church is located just outside the walls very close to the door of the Jews. Inside it is remarkable the stone statue of the patron saint, and a Madonna with Child both of the fifteenth century. There are also valuable reliefs depicting the nativity scenes and some paintings. Outside embedded in the wall of the church we find medieval reused material. It was erected parish on 1 October 1976 by Bishop Alberico Semeraro.
